Helen Krysak (Krysak) Ramanko

Helen Krysak Romanko, 82 yrs, of Colora, MD, died Sunday, June 26, 2011, in Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD.  Born April 17, 1929, in St. Clair, PA, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Dzatek Krysak. Mrs. Romanko served as Vice President of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Good Shepherd Church, Perryville, MD, from 1994-2000, President of The League of Sacred Heart of St. Mary’s Church, Bristol, PA, for many years. She also founded the annual bake sale and penny auction. Mrs. Romanko served as den mother for the cub scouts from 1968 to 1970.  She is retired from the New Jersey Department of Labor where she was employed as a private secretary. Mrs. Romanko is survived by her husband, David M. Romanko, Colora, MD; children, Paula Smith and her late husband, William, Berlin, NJ, Beth Gold and Dave Uzdilla, Langhorne, PA, Mary Ellen Bundy and husband, Jeff, Colora, MD, Diane Taylor and husband Roger, Levittown, PA, David Romanko and wife, Kristen, Yardville, NJ, Michael Romanko and Ron Zisa, North Haledon, NJ, George Romanko and Tom Offenbecher, San Francisco, CA; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and sister, Anne Heck, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Mary’s Ukranian Catholic Church of Bristol, PA, from which Helen was one of the founding members, in care of the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 1, 2011, 1 PM, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011, 7 PM - 9 PM, with the Ukranian Panakhyda service at 8:30 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Father Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, will officiate.  Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
