James Ralph Collins

James R. Collins, 80 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in Transitions Healthcare of Elkton, MD. Born December 30, 1936 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late James C. and Katherine Ralph Collins. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army and formerly employed by Verizon of Havre de Grace, MD, as a cable splicer. He is survived by his wife, Joanna Harwi Collins of Port Deposit, MD; son, Michael J. Collins of Port Deposit, MD; daughter, Michelle C. Collins of Port Deposit, MD; and granddaughter, Whittney M. Collins. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2017, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017, 11 AM until 1 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Wesley United Methodist Church of Elkton, MD, will officiate. Interment will be private.
