James Randy Johnson

James Randy Johnson, 71 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at home. Born February 5, 1955 in Bainbridge, MD, he was the son of the late James “Jim” and Alice “June” Doss Johnson.

Randy had been a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD, for 59 years. He was a member of the Oxford Gun Club, the Pilgrims Oak Golf Course, and the NRA. He was formerly employed as a crane operator by the former Wiley Manufacturing Company of Port Deposit, MD, the MTA-MD Transportation Authority Police, and more recently, C0-Owner of Jim Johnson’s Fine Cars 1987-2019.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ellen Joan Johnson; son, Cody Johnson (Sarah); daughter, Tiffany Taylor (Josh); five grandchildren; brothers, Jeff Johnson, Andrew Johnson, and Mark Johnson.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026, 10 AM, at the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the church. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of Pleasant View Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
