Jeffrey Duane Artrip

Jeffrey Duane Artrip, 52 years, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Born February 15, 1965 in Baltimore, MD, he was the beloved son of Arvil Artrip of Perryville, MD, and Marilyn (Artrip) Skinner of Bel Air, MD. Jeff was greatly loved by his step-father, Vernon Skinner of Bel Air, MD, and leaves behind his cherished brother, Brian Scott Artrip of Perryville, MD. A graduate of Perryville High School, Jeff was employed by the Town of Perryville in their maintenance department. He worked for many years in construction and was most proud of building his own home in Rising Sun, MD, which he shared with his many friends. Jeff was the husband of the late Heidi Lane Artrip and father of Jeffrey Duane Artrip and Kendal Nicole Artrip, and step-father to Madison Lane. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) at www.nami.org or the charity of your choice. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, July 7, 2017, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitations for family and friends will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. A second visitation will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, 11 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the memorial service. Pastor Jeff Owens of Mountain Christian Church, Joppa, MD, will officiate. Interment will be private.
