Joan Louise Calm

Joan Louise Calm, 63 yrs, of Edgewood, MD, passed Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Johns Hopkins Hospital of Baltimore, MD. Born February 1, 1949 in Port Deposit, MD, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Marie Stewart Calm. Joan was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church of Havre de Grace, MD.  She is also retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, where she was employed as a Claims Examiner. Joan is survived by her brothers, Nathaniel Stewart, William Calm, Melvin Calm; sisters, Malinda Shivers, Audrey Chapman and Jean Hockaday. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia L. Stewart. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 28, 2012, 12 Noon, at St. James A.M.E. Church of Havre de Grace, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the church prior to the funeral service. Rev. Dr. Barron Young of St. James A.M.E. Church will officiate. Interment will be in Berkley Cemetery, Darlington, MD. Arrangements by Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.
