Joan Ann (Jester) Hayes

Joan Ann Jester Hayes, 71 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center of Bel Air, MD. Born November 2, 1941 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Doris Charshee Jester. Mrs. Hayes was the manager of the former Montgomery Ward of Havre de Grace, MD. She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Lee Hayes-Powers and husband, Bill, of Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren, Nicholas and Holly; and two sisters. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Evert Hayes, and one half-brother. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2013, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013, 11 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD. Arrangements by Lee A.
