John James Clarke

John James Clarke, 88 years, of Dundalk, MD, formerly of Canton, MD, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at the V.A. Maryland Healthcare System of Perry Point, MD. Born September 5, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John Charles and Mary Agnes Webster Clarke.

John was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was previously employed as a steel worker by the Thompson Steel Company of Sparrows Point, MD.

John is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marie Clarke; daughters, Brenda Leoni and husband, Dave, and Val Cupp and late husband, Tom; son, Keith Clarke and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Dan Leoni, Amanda Farnum, Tom Cupp, Patrick Leoni, John Cupp, Nick Clarke, Matt Clarke, and Zack Clarke; great grandchildren, Juliett Farnum, Evelyn Cupp, and James Farnum; sisters, Melaine Conley and Judy Spuria.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, John Clarke; brothers, Patrick Clarke and Dennis Clarke; and sisters, Mary Jane Clarke, Margie Cybulski.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2022, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitations for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022, 2 PM until 4 PM, and 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Father John Abrahams of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, will officiate. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2022, 2:30 pm, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road, Dundalk, MD.
