John Leon Marden

John Leon Marden, 64 yrs, of Conowingo, MD, died Monday, March 30, 2015 at his residence. Born July 27, 1950 in Independence, KS, he was the son of Betty Louise Elliott Marden of Independence, KS, and the late Charles Leon Marden. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Nuclear Engineer Owner/Operator of the JLM Company of Missouri. He loved golfing, fishing, and the Kansas City Chiefs. John is survived by his sons, John Leon Marden II and wife, Michelle, of Conowingo, MD, and Charles Leon Marden of Port Deposit, MD; six grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Goode of Navaree, FL, and Linda Marden of Millington, TN. John was preceded in death by his grandson, Johnathan Xavier Marden and brother, Michael Marden. Memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 3, 2015, 5 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 3, 2015, 4 PM until 5 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Benny Johnson of Porters Grove Baptist Church of Rising Sun, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, KS.
