John Albert Thompson

John Albert Thompson, 50 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at home. Born November 19, 1961, in Elkton, MD, he is the son of George and Etta Rolfe Thompson of Port Deposit, MD. John was a mechanic employed by Ryder Leasing of Elkton, MD. In addition to his parents, John  is survived by his sons, Vernon Mark Thompson of Virginia, and John Woods Simmons of Maryland; granddaughter, Tamera Gail Thompson; brother, Mark Thompson; sisters, Lynnette Settlemyre and Aleta Kay Eldreth. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 5, 2012, 2 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, March 5, 2012, 12 Noon until 2 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Rev. Dr. Jay Bunting of Hopewell United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD. Arrangements by Lee A.
