Joyce Lenora Jones

Joyce Lenora Jones, 91 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away peacefully Monday, March 30, 2026 at home. Born January 28, 1935 in Port Deposit, MD, she was the daughter of the late Donald Wesley and Madeline Virginia Snelling Poist.

Joyce was a member of the Blythedale Seventh Day Adventist Church of Perryville, MD. She was formerly employed as an LPN by the former Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD.

Joyce is survived by her son, Vincent B. Jones; daughter, Cindy L. Leach; five grandchildren; eight grandchildren; and brother, Perry Poist.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent L. Jones; brothers, Donald Nelson Poist and Barry Poist; and sisters, Catherine Poist Bryson, Janet Poist Force, and Connie Poist Oppler.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2026, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, 11 AM until 1 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Ken Coleman of the Blythedale Seventh Day Adventist Church of Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit,
