Julia June (Johnston) Smith

Julia June Smith, 92 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at her home. Born December 5, 1924 in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Cook Johnston. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Christian Church of Havre de Grace, MD, and formerly employed as a Records Manager by the Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD. She is survived by her son, James Smith of Rockville, MD; daughters, Patty Karwacki of Port Deposit, MD, and Kathy Bowlin of Owings, MD; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Smith; brothers, James Johnston and Andrew Johnston Jr. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2017, 1 PM, at the First Christian Church of Havre de Grace, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017, 12 Noon until 1 PM, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Ronald L. Tabor of the First Christ Church will officiate. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
