Kathy Marie Smith

Kathy Marie Smith, 75, of North East, MD, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 at ChristianaCare Union Hospital in Elkton with family surrounding her. Born February 1, 1951 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jay Clarence and Ivory Virginia Adams Keller.

Kathy proudly owned and operated Kathy’s Cleaning Service until her retirement in 2014. She found joy in taking rides in her beloved 2002 Ford Thunderbird on warm, sunny days, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family. Above all, her most treasured companions were her 6 beloved Pekingese.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Coffin of Rising Sun, MD, Michael Smith (Jenifer) of North East, MD, and Mark Smith (Dawn) of Elkton, MD; 8 grandchildren (Samantha, Austin, Richard, Tori, Alivia, Alex, Abby, & Evan); 8 great-grandchildren (Landon, Lily, Liam, Kol, Amelia, Callan, Richard, & Sapphire); brother, George Keller (Marie) of Bogalusa, LA; and sister, Mary Thomas of North East, MD.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Sandy Ollie Smith, Sr., and 2 grandsons, Brian and Mervin.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 12:00pm at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held 10:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Principio Methodist Church of Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
