Kenneth Wayne Guinther, 81 yrs, of Darlington, MD, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at his residence. Born July 17, 1931 in Locustdale, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Jacob and Grace Ann Jones Guinther.
Mr. Guinther was a veteran of the United States Army Military Police having served from 1948 until his discharged in 1969. He served in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
Mr. Guinther is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Arnold Guinther of Darlington, MD; daughters, Lesa Marie Guinther-Bereznay and Grace Arlene Guinther-Fortunato; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister, Jean Guinther Welker.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Guinther was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Wayne Guinther; brothers, Russell Guinther, Clayton Guinther; sisters, Alma Guinther Katchik, Thelma Guinther Reichwein. Mr. Guinther’s brother, Harry Guinther, still remains listed as MIA/1950 during the Korean War.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 8:30 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitations for family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 3 PM until 5 PM and 7 PM until 8:30 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Cindy Caldwell of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church of Whiteford, MD. Interment will be in Indian Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover, PA.
