Lafern M. (Rhodes) Myers

Margaret Lafern Myers, 73 yrs, of Perryville, MD, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at home. Born November 10, 1944 in Santa Cruz, CA, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Rena Riley Rhodes. Mrs. Myers was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1963 until 1965. She was formerly employed by the Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, in accounting. She is survived by her sons, Steve Myers of Port Deposit, MD, and James Myers of Elkton, MD; daughter, Joanne Green of Perryville, MD; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Myers; son, Shawn Myers; brother, Kenneth Rhodes; and sister, Loretta Rhodes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 11 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD
