Larry “Juice” Dale Perry, Sr., 76 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at his residence. Born September 24, 1936 in North Carolina he was the son of the late William Leyburn and Ora Medlin Perry.
Juice is survived by his wife, Geraldine “Gerry” Bender Perry of Perryville, MD; son, Larry Dale Perry, Jr., and wife, Robin, of Port Deposit, MD; daughters, Donna Mae Garcia and husband, Al, of North East, MD, and Brenda Lee Shipley and husband, Rodney, of Perryville, MD; grandchildren, Larry D. Perry, III and wife, Kelsey, Philip A. Perry, Ashly M. Nickle; two great grandchildren, Madison E. Perry and Ava G. Perry; also many nieces and nephews.
Juice was employed as a welder by the former Wiley Mfg. Company of Port Deposit, MD. In addition, he was a truck driver for Mac Collette, Delmar Farmer, Donald Williams, Amtote and Electrical worker for Laurel and Pimlico Race Tracks.
Juice was a veteran of the United States Air Force, an officer and lifetime member of the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company, Past President of the Harford Cecil Fireman’s Association, a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD, a member of Susquehanna Lodge No. 130.
In addition to his parents, Juice was preceded in death by his sister, Billie Wood Perry Pearson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Fire Company of Perryville or to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 8, 2013, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitations for family and friends will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013, 2 PM until 4 PM, and 7 PM until 9 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
