Larry Howard "Possum" Craig

Larry Howard “Possum” Craig, 81 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at home. Born January 23, 1941 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Finley and Elsie Mae Jackson Craig.

Larry was member of the United States Army having served from 1963 until 1969. He was a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD, and the Asbury United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Larry “Possum” was employed as a mechanic by the former Jim Johnson’s Fine Cars of Perryville, MD.

Larry “Possum” loved working on cars and motors and there was not a motor of any kind he could not fix. His other love was the Susquehanna River where he spent many hours of his spare time.

Larry is survived by his sister, Betty Jane McMullen; nephew, Harry McMullen and wife, Terry; great nephew, Chris McMullen and wife, Stacy, and their children, Maddox and Easton; great niece, Wendy Reyes and husband, Geo, and their children, Ellianna, Gabriella, and Noah.

A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 28, 2022, 11 AM, at Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of the Asbury United Methodist Church will officiate.
