Leslie Regina (Powell) Sweitzer

Leslie Regina Sweitzer (Powell) 53, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 7, 2016, following a sudden decline from recently diagnosed cancer.  She was the cherished wife of Mark Sweitzer of 31 years.  She was dearly loved by her three children Andrea Farquhar, wife of Bradley, Jason Sweitzer and Stephanie Weber, wife of Tyler. Leslie was born in Coatesville, PA, on November 28, 1962, to the late Frank and Elizabeth Powell.  She is survived by siblings Claire Dowlin, Darlene Jones, Debbie Thompson, and Frank Powell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Leslie had many family-like friends from working at the Cecil County Health Department for twelve years before retiring due to illness.  She was active in the First Baptist Church of Perryville and was loved by her church family. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the First Baptist Church of Perryville, 4800 Pulaski Highway, Perryville, MD with dinner to follow.  Contributions may be made to Amedysis Hospice, 107 Chesapeake Blvd, Suite 134, Elkton, MD, 21921.
