Lloyd George Gifford

Lloyd George Gifford, 91 yrs, of Rising Sun, MD, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at his residence. Born May 22, 1921, in Greenhurst, MD, he was a son of the late John K. and Lavenia Edwards Gifford. Mr. Gifford was self-employed owner/operator of the Farmington Garage and Spartan School of Aeronautics. In addition, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during W.W. II. Mr. Gifford is survived by his significant other, Catherine Grover; son, Thomas Gifford; daughters, Florence Palmer and Mary Sue Marshall; sisters, Mary Gifford and Rachel Blevins. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2012, 2 PM, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Rising Sun, MD. Rev. Dr. Vernon Schmid of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and Rev.
