Lois Ann (Harrell) Rothka

Lois Ann Rothka, 53, of Perryville, MD, passed away on August 29, 2011. Born on April 1, 1958 in Ridley, PA, Lois was the daughter of the late James and Lois Harrell.  She grew up in New Castle, DE and she graduated from William Penn High School in 1976. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jim Rothka; daughter, Tracy Harreld and her husband Andrew of Perryville; daughter, Lisa Smith and her husband Dale of Elkton; son, Matthew Rothka of Perryville; two grandchildren, Grace and Jordan Harreld. Lois was a loving and devoted full-time wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker for many years before fulfilling her lifetime dream of having her own business.  In 2006, she opened the Rita’s Italian Ice in North East, MD.  Lois cherished her time spent with family and friends.  She enjoyed traveling and family trips in their RV. She could always be seen at the many sporting events, dance recitals, and activities of her children and grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2011, 2 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011, 12 Noon until 2 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.  Pastor Ron Smith of the First Baptist Church of Havre de Grace, Havre de Grace, MD, will officiate.  Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
