Lydia Lynn (Soden) Gelder- Perez

Lydia Lynn Gelder-Perez, 48 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at her residence.  Born July 24, 1962, in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of Virginia Lee Oakley Soden of Havre de Grace, MD, and the late Paul Soden, Jr. Lydia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perryville, Perryville, MD, and was employed as a medical transcriptionist by Medquest of California. Lydia is survived by her husband, James Perez, Port Deposit, MD; son, Ethan Gregory Gelder, Port Deposit, MD; daughters, Emily Lynn Gelder, Kirstie Perez and Victoria Perez, all of Port Deposit, MD; sisters, Laura Soden Lanham and Lenore Coe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the ALS Association Maryland Chapter in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2011, 11 AM, at the First Baptist Church of Perryville, Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2011, 7-9 PM, at the church.  Rev. Dr. John M.R. Gauger of the First Baptist Church of Perryville will officiate.  Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD. Arrangements by Lee A.
