Mabel Enfield Van Hart, 90, of York, PA, formerly of Perryville, MD, died on November 6, 2013 at Country Meadows Assisted Living Home. She was born in Laurel, PA, on April 4, 1923 the daughter of the late John & Stella Enfield. She graduated from Red Lion High School, Red Lion, PA, in 1941. She was the wife of 59 years to the late Everett B. Van Hart who died in 2004.
During the war she worked at Edgewood Arsenal and Black and Decker in Towson, MD, as a machine operator. Later she worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground as a payroll clerk and budget analyst, retiring after 30 years of service.
She enjoyed working in her garden, growing flowers, making crafts, having yard sales and watching the Orioles. She and her husband traveled extensively visiting all 50 states, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and many provinces in Canada.
Mabel was a member and Past Matron of Victory Chapter #40, OES. She also held several positions for the local chapter and the Grand Chapter of MD. She was past President of PAGO club and a member of Cedarette of Har-Ce #142, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. She was a member of Perryville United Methodist Church and Aiken Homemakers.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce E. Van Hart and his wife Jean of Prince Frederick, MD, and Gerald (Jerry) G. Van Hart and his wife Dale of Port Deposit, MD, a grandson Orion B.Van Hart and his wife Rosario of Rockville, MD, and a great grandson, Tomas Everett Van Hart. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2013, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, November 11, 2013, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be Monday, November 11, 2013 at 6 PM. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Round Hill Cemetery of Felton, PA.
