Mamie "Genene" (Mayse) Mcpherson

Mamie ”Genene” McPherson, 79 yrs, of Conowingo, MD, died Friday, January 23, 2015 in Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD. Born February 15, 1935 in Beaver, KY, she was the daughter of the late Andy Mayse and Goria Newsom Mayse. Genene attended Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD, and is survived by her husband, Gary L. McPherson of Conowingo, MD; son, Danny Salyer of Bear, DE; step-sons, Jeffery McPherson and Scott McPherson, both of Ft. Meyers, FL; daughters, Brenda Chapman of Elkton, MD, and Carolyn Salyer of North East, MD; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Tavis Mayse and Tivis Mayse, both of Conowingo, MD. In addition to her parents, Genene was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Mayse, and sister, Dorothy Gilreath. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2015, 10 AM, at Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of Pleasant View Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
