Marcia “Peggy” Roberta Kubler Dickerson, 84 yrs, of Aberdeen, MD, died Monday, January 5, 2015 in Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD. Born September 1, 1930 in Cordova, MD, she was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Nellie Samis Kubler.
Peggy was a veteran of the United States Army having served her country from 1949 until 1951. She was a former driver for Joseph Marshall Buses of Port Deposit, MD.
Peggy is survived by her sons, David Murphy (Stacey) of Rhodesdale, MD, and Roger Lee Dickerson (Penny) of Havre de Grace, MD; daughters, Pauline M. Clow of Hastings, MI, Nancy J. Greene (Barry) of Aberdeen, MD, Mary E. Harris (Dewayne) of Aberdeen, MD; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and brother, Warren Kubler of Napa, CA.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, James Matthew Dickerson; son, Glenn A. Murphy; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 8, 2015, 1 PM, at the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015, 11 AM until 1 PM, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of Pleasant View Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
