Marilyn Helene (Brem) Quigley

Marilyn Helene (Brem) Quigley, 89, formerly of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on February 11, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Manchester, NH. She was born and raised in Richmond Hill, NY, the daughter of Marcel and Helene Brem. She married Martin J. Quigley, Jr in June 1950; they shared 54 years and raised 5 children together. She was predeceased by her husband Marty and her son Robert (Robin). She will be missed by her children Pat Shaw and her husband Jeff of Spruce Head, ME; Kathi Berg of Manchester, NH; Martin J. Quigley III and wife Maria of Yorktown, VA; Susan Quigley-Lambert and husband Michael of Rising Sun, MD, and by her sister Joan Nappi Smith of Island Park, NY. She also leaves behind beloved grandchildren: Kerry (Quigley) Maione and husband, Chris, Erin and Michael Shaw, Jacob, Nate, Eli & Ansley Berg, Shawn Dougherty and great-grandchildren Ellie and Will Maione. A devoted wife and mother, Lynn enjoyed socializing with an ever-widening circle of friends as she settled her family in many places including Ashland, MA, Scotia, NY, Simsbury, CT, Newark, DE, and Williamsburg, VA. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations. She will be remembered as a wonderful, loving mother and friend. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 19 at Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 20, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Amedisys Hospice or the charity of your choice in care of Lee A.
