Marilyn Clare Pare'

Marilyn Clare Pare’, of Colora, MD, passed away on August 9, 2026 surrounded by friends and family at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Calvert Manor. She was born January 23, 1942, (the second child) of John “Bucky” and Mary Cecelia Warren in Dedham, Massachusetts. 

As a graduate of Boston College and University of New Hampshire, Marilyn worked as a teacher for newly desegregated Boston Public Schools, Good Shepherd Catholic School, Job Corps, Mount Aviat Academy and University of Delaware. She also was a feature writer for the Havre De Grace Record, and a campaign manager for the late Dr. Leman Spry. Her greatest quality was to help others. She served as the president of the St Vincent DePaul Food Pantry in Perryville Maryland – which provided nutrition and support to Cecil County families, Perryville Outreach, Hispanic community in Rising Sun, Backpack program at Rising Sun Elementary and the Easter/Thanksgiving/Christmas food boxes for the food insecure in Cecil County. She was fearless advocate for those who needed a voice and help. She took a small idea of handing out extra fruit and vegetables from the back of a pickup truck in a park – to feeding hundreds once a week. She was unafraid to go into the woods to feed those that were most needy in our county. She delighted in providing gift bags to individuals at Christmas. She also was active in the St Agnes Guild, which was the backbone for many projects: Christmas in April and St Patrick’s Church restoration in Pilottown. She enjoyed serving spaghetti dinners, serving strawberries at Sun Fest, making pies for St Patrick’s Church, tutoring children, teaching kids to swim, coaching Little League, and welcoming neighborhood kids and friends who crossed her welcome door.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Dr William Paul Pare’, her daughter Krysia Hudson (Ken) of Port Deposit, MD, daughter Amy Pare (Kyung) of Pittsburgh, PA, Mark Pare’ (Monica) of Bokeelia, FL, and Amanda Pare-Court (Than) of Davidsonville, MD. Marilyn had nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren that she adored: Katie Pare’, Kendie Hudson Sandridge, Trudell Pare’, Jacob Hudson, Rustin Pare’, Claire Hudson, Arwen Pare’, Liam Park, Alexander Court, Jane Court, Jace Sheets, Daphne Sandridge and Emmett Sandridge.

The service honoring Marilyn will occur August 17 at St Agnes Catholic Church – with visitation from 9:30 am to 11 am with mass at 11 am. Donations may be made in the form of donation to St Vincent de Paul Society in Perryville Maryland 410-642-3588 -email: SVDP@goodshephrd.org
