Mary Jean (Alexander) Daugherty

Mary Jean Daugherty, 87 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, in Calvert Manor Health Care Center, Rising Sun, MD.  Born June 16, 1923, in Perryville, MD, she was a daughter of the late John Herman and Estella Brady Alexander. Mrs. Daugherty was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Perryville, MD.  She is survived by her son, Robert Warner Daughtery and his wife, Luerena, of Perryville, MD; one grandchild, Brandi Daugherty; one great grandson, Brian Baldwin; and brother, James H. Alexander, of Earleville, MD. Mrs. Daugherty enjoyed working with ceramics, baking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Daugherty; brother, Joseph Dale Alexander; and sister, Alice Marie Alexander. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2011, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home.  Father Robert R. Smith of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Perryville MD, will officiate.  Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD. Arrangements by Lee A.
