Mary Anna (Benczkowski) Hessler

Mary Anna Hessler, 78 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 in the Senator Bob Hooper House of Forest Hill, MD. Born May 31, 1939 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late James John and Josephine Benczkowski. Mrs. Hessler was a member of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, and attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  She was previously employed by Martin Marietta of Middle River, MD. Mrs. Hessler is survived by her husband, Francis Hessler of Port Deposit, MD; sons, David F. Hessler and wife, Debbie, of Joppa, MD, and James J. Hessler of Port Deposit, MD; daughters, Patricia Cataggio and husband, Joseph, of Aberdeen, MD, and Karen J. Brown and husband,  David, of Havre de Grace, MD;  9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hessler was preceded in death by her daughter, Rose M. Barnett; brothers, Stanley Benczkowski, Melvin Benczkowski and Eugene Benczkowski. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Senator Bob Hooper House in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19, 2017, 11 AM, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD. Visitations for family and friends will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017, 2 PM until 4 PM, and 6 PM until 8 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Father Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish will officiate. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
