Mary Dorothy (Mccarthy) Berger

Mary Dorothy Berger, 97 yrs, of Perryville, MD, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her residence. Born May 13, 1919 in Perryville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Campbell McCarthy. Mary was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD. She was formerly employed by Susquehanna OB/GYN of Havre de Grace, MD. She is survived by her son, Robert Berger and wife, Judy; daughter, Beverly Berger McGuire; two grandchildren, Melissa and Shannon; and five great grandchildren, Kevin, Katelyn, Jasmine, Madison and Kristen. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Berger, and brother, Charles McCarthy. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, November 17, 2016, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016, 11 AM until 1 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Father Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
