Mary Jo (Murray) Ashby

Mary Jo Ashby, 72, of Havre de Grace, MD, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, October 17th, 2022. Born December 29th, 1949 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Albert Knight Murray and Marie Cavalier Murray.

She was deeply devoted to Christ and was sure to keep everyone in her daily prayers.  She also enjoyed listening to music, new and old, and reading her Bible.

Mary Jo is survived by her children Shona L. Murray, Kyle A. Murray (Lisa), Julie R. Zeigler-Jordan, and Lorrie B. Zeigler, as well as her sisters, Patrice J. Bognet (James), and Frances E. Webb; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all whom she loved tremendously.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, James R. Murray and John A. Murray (Kathleen); her sister Sara A. Baldwin; and her grandson John Garrett.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 28th, 2022, 11AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., in Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10AM - 11AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Deacon Luke Yackley of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be private.
