Michael Eugene Cox

Michael Eugene Cox, 65 years, of Colora, MD, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at home. Born July 20, 1960 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Charles “Gene” Eugene and Ruth Leona Whiteaker Cox.

Michael was employed by the Cecil County Public Works Roads Division as an equipment operator.

Michael is survived by his loving companion, Theresa Miller and her children, John Boyd and Stacy Maurer; granddaughters, Elexia Boyd and Andreyia Boyd; grandson, Matthew Boyd (Autumn); great-grandchildren, Blaze Remington, Andie Lynn Boyd, and Josie Mae Boyd; brother, Charles Cox; nephew, Charles Evan Michael Cox; and great nephew, Giddeon Gene Walker Cox; uncle and aunt, Jessie and Judy Cox.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rebekah Lynn Boyd; aunt, Alyce Lovelace; uncle, Dean Lovelace; cousin, David Cox, in-laws, Ralph and Betty Miller.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitations for family and friends will be held Friday, September 5, 2025, 6 PM until 8 PM, and Saturday, September 6, 2025, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the funeral home. Pastor Melanie Longacre of the Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
