Mildred Cain Walburg, 79 years, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 in Northwest Hospital, Randallstown, MD. Born January 1, 1933 in Port Deposit, MD, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Pearline Boddy Cain.
Mildred attended school at George Washington Carver in Elkton and Morgan State in Baltimore. She married Hamp Walburg of New Jersey. After his death she moved to Baltimore, MD.
Mildred leaves to mourn two sisters, Mary Scott of Elkton and Ann Willis of Bel Air; one brother, Robert Cain of Indianapolis, IN; Robert Williams, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six sisters, Estella Jennifer, Lula Cain, Isadora Cain, Grace Clark, Frances Cain and Roberta Cain; three brothers, James Cain, Ernest Cain and Herbert Cain.
Mildred was a member of the Mondawmin Association, Friends of Druid Hill Park, and the after school program. She also tutored children and adults in reading in Baltimore. In New Jersey she taught elementary school and worked as a nurses aide.
Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, November 3, 2012, 11 AM, at the Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, MD. Rev. Donald A. Ransom will officiate. Burial will be private.
