Nathaniel Banks

Nathaniel Banks, age 63, of Perryville, MD, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He was born in Elkton, MD, and raised in Port Deposit. He was a graduate of Perryville High School and spent most of his years in Cecil County, MD. Nathaniel was a decorated Vietnam veteran receiving multiple commendations for bravery including the Bronze Service Star. Always meticulous with his attire, he loved music, dancing and playing BINGO. Nathaniel is survived by his two sons, Bryant Banks and Walter Banks; siblings, Samuel (Shirley) Banks, Jr., of Willingboro, NJ, Sarah (Carl) Clark of Port Deposit, MD, Clarence (Elaine) Banks of Abingdon, MD, Helen Akins of Port Deposit, MD, Frances Honesty of Port Deposit, MD, William Albert Banks of North East, MD, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Nathaniel was preceded in death by his loving parents, Samuel Banks, Sr. and Frances (Young) Banks; siblings, Dale Banks, Charles Edward Banks, Victoria Copeland and Barbara Gibbs. A memorial service will be held 10 AM on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 898 Bainbridge Road, Port Deposit, MD. Interment will be private.
