Pamela Lynnette Pierce

Pamela Lynnette Pierce, 62 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Monday, November 2, 2026 at home. Born March 24, 1964 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Violet Mae Stanley Christley.

Pam was a person that would brighten up any room she walked into. She possessed a heart of gold and a huge personality. She loved talking to anyone she met whether she knew them or not (and she knew many) and would always make the time whether she had it or not. She would give anyone anything she had and if she didn't have it, she would try to figure out how to get it for them. She cared about everyone but it was children and animals that would steal her heart. Years ago, if anyone needed a babysitter, Pam was the one they would call. As the years passed she became Pammy, Aunt Pam or Mom-Mom as these same kids got older and then had kids of their own. Whether a relative or not, everyone became family. This became all too obvious during holidays where she would cook such large meals and invite everyone over to the point that every one would be bumping elbows around the table and the rest would spill over to eating standing up in the kitchen. She loved the winter holidays. The cooking of the meals and the giving of gifts meant so much to her. She watched Christmas shows year round and was even known to hold "Christmas in July" a time or two.

As for the animals, they ate as well or better than the family folk. If anyone found a stray, Pam was the first one to receive a phone call. She would undoubtedly take them in, feed them and if needed, nurse them back to health. If she could not take them in permanently, she would find someone that could. If anyone had a question about how to aid an animal in distress, call Pammy. She would know what to do.

Her love of life extended beyond people and animals. Her plants were her biggest hobby. Every window of every room had so many plants that it was hard to see through the windows. If she had a cutting from a plant, it didn't go to waste. It was poked into some potting soil in a cup or into a glass of water to grow into another window shade. Too many plants were never enough in her eyes.

Growing up, she lived in a house that the front door was never locked and was always open to anyone needing a place to stay and she carried that way of living all the way through the rest of her life. She cared about everyone and everything that needed help and nurturing.

She was a kind soul, a loving mother to her children, the love of her husband’s life and the glue that kept family and friends together. She never hesitated to show her love and hopefully she understood how much she was loved in return. This world has lost a bright light but it is better for having had her in it for the short time that she did her best to improve it. She would not want anyone to be sad that she is now gone but to remember with a smile the times that were spent with her. She was very much loved, and always will be.

Remember Me With Love

Please don’t remember me with tears,

Or let your hearts be filled with sorrow.

Remember all the love we shared,

And carry it into tomorrow.

I was a mother to more than my own,

A safe place when someone felt alone.

My door was open, my heart was too,

There was always room for one more of you.

I found my joy in the simplest things,

In laughter, love, and the warmth family brings.

A house full of people, a table to share,

A little bit of happiness everywhere.

So when you think of me, please smile,

And hold our memories for a while.

Tell the stories, laugh out loud,

Remember the love that made me proud.

Don’t let my leaving dim your light,

Keep loving fiercely, hold each other tight.

For everything I was and all I gave,

Lives on in the hearts I helped to shape.

And though my time on earth is through,

My love will always stay with you.

So don’t remember just the day I had to go,

Remember the beautiful life and love I got to show.

Pam is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Thomas J. Pierce; children, Rachel Snedegar and partner, William Cox, Jesse Pierce, Alexxus Driscoll and husband, Shane, Lamont Hall, Devon Hall, and Thealisa Kornegan; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and their children that are all part of the close-knit loving family.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Christley, Carol Wright, Louise Wright, and Kenneth Christley.
