Patrica Louise Parks, age 64, of Conowingo, Maryland went home to be with our heavenly father on December 17, 2015. Born in Frankfort, Germany, she was the adopted daughter of the late James Bevins and the late Gladys Morrisette Bevins.
Mrs. Parks is survived by her loving husband Danny R. Parks, her daughter Jennifer Ziegler and her son-in-law, Daniel Ziegler of Middletown, DE. The joy of her life was her two grandchildren Ethan and Elise Ziegler. Her son James Parks preceded her in death.
Mrs. Parks is also survived by her brothers Nathan Bevins and his family of Gap, PA and Leslie Turner and his family of Bath, NY. Her brother Canty Turner preceded her in death.
As a military child, she lived in many countries all over the world. In adulthood, she connected with her biological family from Germany, including her biological mother, the late Mrs. Elise Weber, her sister Mrs. Lilo Keller and her brother Mr. Jurgen Weber.
Mrs. Parks loved working with children. One of her life’s passions was to teach and nurture children and she was dearly loved by her students and their families. She worked as a preschool teacher at Pleasant View Baptist Church Preschool and Playplace America Daycare. She was an active member at Pleasant View Baptist Church who loved to cook, entertain family and friends and listen to christian worship music.
Viewing will be held at Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., in Perryville, MD, on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 7:00PM - 9:00PM. Funeral services will be held at Pleasant View Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 12:00PM with Dr. Harold Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air, MD.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Memory of Patricia Parks to the Frontotemporal Dementia and Young-Onset Dementias Clinic at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
