Patricia Ellen Murray

Patricia Ellen Murray, 83, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Born in Port Deposit, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Patrick Murray and Mabelle Thompson Murray. In addition to her parents, Miss Murray was preceded in death by her sister, Mary M. Grafton. Miss Murray is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth E. Bolgiano and Ann C. Moore. She was the beloved aunt of 14 nieces and nephews and 27 great nieces and nephews. Miss Murray graduated from the former Jacob Tome Institute of Port Deposit, MD. She earned a teaching degree from The State Teacher’s College at Towson and a master’s degree in education from the University of Delaware. She taught second grade for 30 years at Bainbridge Elementary School. Miss Murray was a devoted life-long member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Port Deposit. An avid traveler, she visited over 24 foreign countries and all 50 states. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 11 AM, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2016, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Father Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Ascension Episcopal Church Cemetery, Scarboro, MD.
