Patricia (Patti) Lee Ashby

Patricia (Patti) Lee Ashby of Perryville, MD, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2026following a brief illness. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the beloved youngest daughter of Belva and John Lowman.

Patti was a graduate of Aberdeen High School, class of 1989, and spent most of her career as an Executive Assistant supporting various U.S. Army organizations. She was a strong supporter of her community and her husband’s dedication to serve the Town of Perryville in the roles of Town Commission and Mayor.

Patti was a loving and devoted wife, sister and aunt. Along with her husband, she was an ardent dog-lover, and their pups Murphy and Maggie brought her special joy. Patti had an elegant and generous spirit, and was an excellent cook and hostess, holding various gatherings throughout the year, including hosting annual Thanksgiving dinner for her large family. She enjoyed travel, family, decorating and watching college football. She had an impeccable sense of style and grace. She also enjoyed shopping and never failed to share her stylish finds with family, friends and those in need. Neighbors and friends admired her front porch décor, which she continuously updated for the seasons and made especially elaborate for Independence Day and Christmas.

Patti is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert Ashby; step-son, Robert Ashby III (Amanda); step-grandchildren, Jordan and Elena; siblings, Dewey Lowman (Tammy), Joanna Taddeo (David), and Catharina Beckman (John); brother-in-law, Dan Ashby (Kimberly); sisters-in-law, Nancy Calachino (Philip) and Mary Lynn Ashby; and devoted daughter-in-law to Margaret Ashby. Patti will always remain “Aunt Frog” to her five nephews, Tanner Lowman, James Newsome (Stephanie), Christopher Hannah (Kristina), Spencer Lowman (Amanda), Bingham Taddeo, and niece Olivia Taddeo.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, 11 AM until 1 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Mark Grissom of Freedom Church of Rising Sun, MD, will officiate. Interment will be private.
