Paul Alexander Mitchem

Paul Alexander Mitchem, 71, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 17, 1954, in Havre de Grace, MD.

Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Kathryn Mitchem; his son, Christopher Mitchem; his daughter, Kaitlyn (Dustin) Love; and his cherished grandchildren, Blake Mitchem, Kaylee Love, and Savannah Mitchem. He is also survived by his brother, Oley Mitchem, and his sister, Charlotte Lowe.

Paul’s greatest joy in life was his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who were truly his greatest treasures. He dedicated 40 years of his life to working as a truck driver and, alongside his wife, proudly owned and operated Mitchem Trucking LLC for 25 years.

In his free time, Paul enjoyed traveling with his family to West Virginia and spending mornings sharing breakfast with friends and loved ones. He will be remembered for his hard work, his deep love for his family, and the many memories he created with those closest to him.
