Paula Jean Hoak

Paula Jean Hoak, 61, of Port Deposit, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Born September 28, 1963, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of Lee Rutherford and the late Phyllis Chriss Rutherford.

Paula is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Mike Hoak; son, Joshua Hoak; father, Lee Rutherford; and brothers, Todd Rutherford and Jim Rutherford.

Paula was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Chriss Rutherford.

Paula was employed as a Test and Safety Manager by the Army Test and Evaluation Command at the Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD. She was a member of the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church of Street, Maryland.

A Memorial Service with Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM, at the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church of Street, Maryland. Interment will be private.
