Phyllis Johnson Hurd

Phyllis Johnson Hurd, 88 yrs, formerly of North East, MD, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Jacobs Well Assisted Living of Bel Air, MD. Born May 22, 1926 in Perryman, MD, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Jackson and Nellie Leight Johnson. Mrs. Hurd is survived by her son, William A. Hurd,V, of Port Deposit, MD; daughter, Cherie-Lee Hurd Riddle of Havre de Grace, MD; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Jack Johnson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hurd was preceded in death by her husband, William Aaron Hurd,IV; grandson, William A. Hurd,VI; brothers, Kenneth Johnson and Vernon Johnson; sisters, Virginia Ford and Odessa Hughes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2015, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the funeral home prior to the memorial service. Interment will be private.
