Renee Annette Lebrun

Renee Annette LeBrun, age 67, of Elkton, MD, went home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2024 after living with cancer for over three years. Born December 29, 1956 in San Antonio, TX, to Richard Michel “Mike” LeBrun, Sr., and Blanche (Jones) LeBrun, she grew up in Colora, attended Good Shepherd Catholic School, Rising Sun High School, and Cecil College. She worked as a secretary, then as a legal assistant for 30 years. At age 45 she reinvented herself and became music director at Good Shepherd Parish, overseeing the music ministry at St. Agnes Church in Rising Sun, St. Teresa Church in Port Deposit, St. Patrick Chapel in Pilottown, and Good Shepherd Church in Perryville. She also oversaw the training of school cantors at Good Shepherd Catholic School, and helped oversee the formation of the Good Shepherd Catholic School Alumni Association.

The family wants to thank Drs. Dennis Witmer, Martha Hosford, Jon Strasser, Paul Boulos, Lana DeSouza, Kathiresan Suppiah, and Jose Ma for lengthening Renee’s life after the cancer diagnosis.

And thanks go also to Renee’s parish family for all the prayers and Masses, cards and support throughout the cancer treatment. The initial prognosis was not promising, but through the intercession of some hard-hitting saints who were put to work by friends and family, Renee enjoyed more time with everyone. Special thanks go to those who put those saints to work, and to Our Lady of Loudes, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Jude, St. Anthony, St. Peregrine, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Pio, St. Agatha, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Agnes and St. Patrick. And a special thank you to St. Therese the Little Flower for the roses and the miracle.

Renee is survived by her loving husband, William A. Willson; her children, Geoffrey Rando (Jen), Gregory Rando (Jen), Adele LeBrun Tarkington (Bryan); stepchildren, Robert Steven Hastings (Joo), Robert Willson (Brandy), Daniel Willson (Aleaya); 13 beloved grandchildren; six siblings; many nephews and nieces; and many wonderful friends.

In addition to being predeceased by her parents, Renee was predeceased by her brother, Richard “Mickey” LeBrun, Jr., and nephew, David LeBrun.
