Richard Eugene Hickman, Sr.

Richard Eugene Hickman, Sr., 76 yrs, of North East, MD, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at his residence. Born October 24, 1934, in Port Deposit, MD, he was the son of the late Lester and Elsie Barrow Hickman. Mr. Hickman was formerly employed by the Cecil County Board of Education as a custodian. He is survived by his wife, Velma Grace Farmer Hickman, North East, MD; son, Richard Hickman, Jr., and wife, Tammy, Port Deposit, MD; daughter, Robin Meekins and husband, Phil, Elkton, MD; grandchildren, PJ Meekins and Melissa Miller, Port Deposit, MD, Ricky Hickman and Amanda Hickman, Port Deposit, MD, Zach Meekins and Chelesea Meekins, Elkton, MD, Tyler Hickman and Baylee Weitzel, Port Deposit, MD; Jacob Meekins, Elkton, MD; great grandchildren, Piper Meekins, Elkton, MD, and Jacey Meekins, Port Deposit, MD; brother, Arthur Hickman, Port Deposit, MD; sister, Betty Weamer, Conowingo, MD; and his beloved dog, Cody. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Hickman. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2011, 11 AM, at the First Baptist Church of North East, North East, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the church prior to the memorial service.  Rev.
