Richard Leroy Webb

Richard LeRoy “Rick” Webb, 59, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014. In 1980, Rick began a successful career with Amtrak. He advanced from a Block Operator to a Senior Safety Coordinator. Outside of work, Rick loved traveling around the country and cultivating the lush landscape surrounding his home. An attentive and gracious host, he and his wife, Carla, enjoyed entertaining his family and friends in and around their pool. He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother and uncle, but his favorite title was Pop-Pop. Whether it was splashing around in the pool, a Wiffle Ball game, or a pre-school graduation, Rick always made time for his grandchildren. Never without a camera, he has left behind thousands of pictures that captured the essence of his love for his family and his zest for life. Rick was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Carla J. Webb. He is survived by his parents, Benjamin “Ben” and Mary Webb of Perryville, MD. Rick is also survived by his daughter, Kathryn L. St. Landau, her husband, Jed, and their son, Lucius of Centreville, MD; his son, Matthew J. Felice, his wife, Julie, and their two children, Matthew Jr. and Mia of Ocean View, NJ. Viewing for family and friends will be held Friday, July 25, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation will be held at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Port Deposit, MD, 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
