Robert "Bob" Carroll Angert, 88, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on September 18, 2021 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center surrounded by his beloved wife and daughters, Katherine and Margaret.
Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, on April 2, 1933, Bob was the youngest son of the late Francis J. and Mary Katherine Roche Angert, and the father of the late Stephanie T. Angert. He graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1951. Bob was a United States Army veteran and did a tour of duty in Japan. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Bob had many careers throughout his life and was always the consummate salesman.
Bob leaves behind an outstanding legacy of caring and compassion for his fellow man. Whether it was snow removal, helping with lawn care, or assisting in caring for a pet, Bob was always eager to lend a hand to his friends and neighbors. Above all, family was most important to Bob. Baltimore's many sports teams were a close second.
As the patriarch of a blended family, Bob loved all of his children and grandchildren unconditionally and without hesitation. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Lee Angert; his four daughters and son. His beloved children are Katherine (Angert) Rossi, Bel Air, MD, Margaret (Angert) Kelly and her husband, David, Bel Air, MD, Linda Hindman, Bel Air, MD, Pamela Murray, Essex, MD, Howard Slusher and his wife, Kathy, North Carolina. His grandchildren are William Rossi, Clint Kirby, Meghan Murray, Laura Murray, Joshua Kirby, Robert Hindman, Emily Kelly, and Elizabeth Kelly. In addition, Bob was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and countless close friends. He will be greatly missed by all that were lucky enough to know him.
