Robert Jesse D'Allesandro

Robert “Jesse” D’Allesandro peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at home following a long battle with cancer. He attended Christopher Columbus High School and worked at the Bronx Zoo under the co-op program. He joined the Navy and was the Helmsman on the Lexington & Intrepid Aircraft Carriers. After the Navy, he worked on bridges and dams where he met Steve Lewis. They worked together in construction for 30 years. He loved nature, landscaping, camping and working with wood. He was a loving, kind and gentle husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, April and Crystal; step-daughter, Heidi; step-son, Erich; mother, Patricia; step-father, Denver; sisters, Patti Ann, Susan, Teresa; brother, Howard; grandchildren, Austin, Alyson, Autumn, Dakota, Damien, Matthew, Nicholas, Zach; step-grandson, Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2013, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013, 7 PM until 9 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Arrangements by Lee A.
