Robert Walter Pontown

Robert Walter Pontown, 82 years, of Conowingo, MD, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 in the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center of Bel Air, MD. Born October 8, 1942 in Glen Ridge, NJ, he was the son of the late Walter and Helen Krztkwa Pontown.

Mr. Pontown was a member of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, and attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He was employed by Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, as an Engineering Technician.

Mr. Pontown is survived by his daughters, Reginia A. Pontown of Conowingo, MD, and Joanne M. Pontown of Havre de Grace; son, Shawn Robert Pontown of Joppa, MD; granddaughters, Star Ilise and Paris Ann; and brother, George Pontown.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pontown was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Regina Pontown, and sister, Delores McCrea Pontown.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, 12 Noon until 1 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Father Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish of Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
