Roberta Lynn (Burton) Copenhaver

Roberta Lynn Copenhaver, 61 yrs, of Elkton, MD, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at home. Born July 4, 1957 in Elkton, MD, she was the daughter of Anna Burton Baird. Roberta was employed as a Sales Associate by Walmart of Elkton, MD. She was also a waitress for 30 years at the T/A Truck Stop in Elkton. She is a graduate of Rising Sun High School Class of 1975. Roberta is survived by her husband of 35 years, Steven Copenhaver of Elkton, MD; sons, Joshua McGinnis of Aberdeen, MD, and Joseph McGinnis of Clayton, DE; step-sons, Steven Copenhaver II, Phillip M. Copenhaver, Jacob J. Copenhaver, Adam A. Copenhaver; one grandson, Noah McGinnis; twelve step-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Baird; and twin sister, Ruth Cooper. Roberta was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Baird and Robert Baird. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, August 31, 2018, 1 PM until 3 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Interment will be private.
