Roy John Jones

Roy John Jones, age 83, of Perryville, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. He was born on February 12, 1929 to the late George R. Jones and Harriet Ann (Ekland) Jones. He retired from Amtrak after 37 years of service. He served in the Korean War and was a member of The American Legion Susquehanna Post No. 135, Perryville, MD. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Creswell (Brown) Jones; sisters, Catherine (Casey) McGuire and Elizabeth (Ella) Thomas; brother, Robert Jones. Roy is survived by his two sons, John A. Jones and wife, Karen; Michael J. Jones and wife, Kim; his daughter, Carla Jones; four grandchildren, Brian, Jennifer, Heather and Jeannie; one step-grandson, Joey Barr; five great grandchildren, Allan, Evan, Nicholas, Leviaz and Aiden; his loving companion, Dorothy Rother; two sisters, Helen Gamble and Ann Lambert and her husband, Gene.
