Russell Henry Currier

Russell Henry Currier, 90 years, of Churchville, MD, formerly of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at home. Born September 25, 1933 in Perryville, MD, he was the son of the late Robert O. and Verna Creswell Currier.

A lifelong Perryville resident, Russ served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and his community as the Perryville Postmaster. Russ was a known and loved member of his community. He will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Russ is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Sheppard Carter; grandchildren, Elizabeth Stambaugh and Rachel Chevres; and great-grandsons, Alexander and Atticus Stambaugh.

In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy “Dottie” Currier; grandson, Andrew Carter; and sister, Nancy A. Currier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Cemetery fund in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, Maryland 21903-0766.

A graveside service has been scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2024, 10 AM, in the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
