Ruth "Goodie" Elizabeth (Goode) Mcmullen

Ruth “Goodie” Elizabeth McMullen, age 88, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at her home. Born November 15, 1927 in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Karl V. and Mary Waters Goode. Goodie was a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Aiken Homemakers, the Ladies Auxiliary to Union Hospital of Cecil County, and the Aberdeen Golden Age Club. She was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse at the V.A. Medical Center of Perry Point, MD. Goodie is survived by her children; William K. McMullen and wife, Sandy, of Port Deposit, MD, Carol L. Risko of Port Deposit, MD, Paul D. McMullen and wife, Cyndie, of Conowingo, MD, Mark D. McMullen of Baltimore, MD; Kenneth R. McMullen Jr., and wife, Rhonda, of Port Deposit, MD; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and brother, William Goode of Valrico, FL. In addition to her parents, Goodie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. McMullen, Sr.; and brothers, Harold Goode and James Goode. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perryville United Methodist church in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766 Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2016, 10 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Rev. Ray Graham of the Perryville United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
