Ryan Thomas Casteel

Ryan Thomas Casteel of Rising Sun went into the arms of Jesus on January 4, 2016. He was 5 years old. Ryan was born on September 10, 2010 in Bel Air, MD. He was the son of Nathan Casteel and Alexandra Casteel (step-mother), of Colora, MD. Bethanie Cornette of Rising Sun. He attended school at Rising Sun Elementary. He attended Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and Janes United Methodist Church. He loved SpongBob, Thomas the Train, Super Heroes, Halloween, and mostly dressing up in costumes. Ryan is survived by his sister, Kayla, 7; brother, Charlie Casteel, 3; Kyle Gillis, 13; Nate, 9, and Annie Good, 7. Grandparents, Rick and Anita Casteel of Colora; Arlene and John Gillis of Rising Sun. Great-grandmother, Anna Riley of Colora and the late Robert Riley. Kay and Don Cassett of Darlington, MD. Ryan was adored by his entire family of aunts, uncles, and cousins: Brandon, Liz, Nicholas, and Zachary of Burle, VA; Justin Casteel and Steven Canapp of Elkton, MD; Alexandria Cornette of Rising Sun; Savannah, Garrett, Logan, Adam, and Zoey Brackins of Rising Sun, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ryan’s Birthday Party Event through Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Make a Wish, or Gofundme in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2016, 11 AM, at Janes United Methodist Church of Rising Sun, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 7, 2016, 6 PM until 8 PM, at Janes United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
